Skis Volkl Deacon XTD + VMotion 10 GW
Deacon XTD with tip rocker increases performance so intermediate and advanced skiers can conquer the mountain in all conditions. Its construction with partial sidewall in the center of the ski? around the double wood core improves edge grip and stability when skiing on piste. The lightweight vMotion2 system is GripWalk compatible and offers a wide interface with the ski. for a better transfer of power in addition to the technology that allows an easy fit of the heel cup. Great performance in all kinds of conditions, highlighting the dynamics in long turns and the agility in short turns.

Basic parameters you need to know when choosing your ski
- Sidecut:
It is determined by the width of the ski at 3 points: the tip, the skid and the heel.- HEEL - The narrower, the smoother and more progressive the turns will be (bigger drifts); the wider, the sharper and tighter the turns will be
- SKATE - The wider it is, the more stability it offers; the narrower it is, the faster the edge changes
- SPATULA - The wider it is, the easier it is to initiate a turn.
- Turn radius:
This is the natural curve of the ski and is given by its edges. The larger the radius, the more the ski is predestined for wider turns. The smaller the radius, the more the ski is predestined for shorter turns.
- Recreational level: Comfort, flexibility and lightness. The size of the ski in relation to the skier's size should be 20 to 5 cm
- Sport level: Lively skis, with good grip, very stable and with excellent glide. The ski size in relation to the skier's size should be 20 to +5 cm, and 20 to 10 cm in slalom
- High Level: Precision, power and great impulse. The ski size in relation to the skier's size should be 10 to +10 cm (big slalom)
- Freerider: Manageability and great grip. The size of the ski in relation to the skier's size should be 5 to +5 cm.
When the season is over, never leave your skis leaning against each other, because if you do, they will lose the curve of the skid. You should leave them loose, both horizontally and vertically, and with Vaseline on the edges to prevent rust.
BINDINGS
How to determine the position on the DIN scale according to your weight and type of skier:
- Weight 49-57 kg:
- Recreational: 3-3.5
- Sport: 3.5-4.5
- High level: 4.5-6
- Weight 58-66 kg:
- Recreational: 3.5-4.5
- Sport: 4.5-5.5
- High level: 5,5-7
- Weight 67-78 kg:
- Recreational: 4.5-5.5
- Sport: 5.5-6.5
- High level: 6,5-8
- Weight 79 kg or more:
- Recreational: 5.5-6.5
- Sport: 6.5-7
- High level: 7-8
- Before shimming the binding, you should always shake off any snow left on the sole of the boot, so that the binding will work properly
- When the season is over, you should put the springs of the heel and toe of the DIN scale at rest so that they will be in perfect condition for the following season.
