(Dual Regulating Inline Valve) gas system ensures that excess gas is expelled before driving the bolt, resulting in consistent ejection, less felt recoil, and quick draw response for any mode. Adjustable in several key features to suit any shooter, such as length of pull, angle of engagement or cheekpiece height.

Features

• D.R.I.V. Gas System - Double Gas Regulator System with in-line valve. The first gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun manufactured by Savage Arms. Patented self-regulating gas system allows high and low power loads to cycle with equal consistency and reliability. Savage's dual-valve gas system is designed to expel excess gas, thus maintaining optimum bolt speed on various loads. Reliable operation from 3" (12/76) magnums to 2 ¾" (12/70) low recoil cartridges.
• Adjustable stock and cheekpiece length. Allow for a custom fit that improves accuracy and comfort for every shooter. Each package includes three recoil pads and three cheekpiece heights. A shim kit is included to further adjust the drop and fit for fine-tuning adjustments for each shooter.
• Oversized controls. The loading lever and bolt handle are larger than many factory shotguns for ease of use, especially with Gloves.
• Competition-ready magazine port and easy loading.. The beveled loading port, angled trigger housing, receiver and riser are designed for easy and fast loading of cartridges.
• Lightweight, one-piece bolt carrier. The action bar assembly, including the push sleeve, is laser welded to the carrier for increased strength and ease of assembly and disassembly. These components are chrome plated for improved functionality and ease of cleaning.
• Stock rod buffer. The stock rod buffer is designed to reduce recoil feel and prolong the life of the action rod assembly.
• Melonite finish ribbed barrel and red fiber optic ventilated band.. Melonite finish provides excellent corrosion resistance and surface hardness. Full barrel grooving provides a 9% weight reduction, improved balance and swing.
