which riding helmet should I choose?
The riding helmet is one of the safety elements of compulsory use and we must choose the right helmet for our head to avoid concussions and brain injuries.
IMPRESCINDIBLES
- It must comply with the current CE EN1384 standard.
- After use , clean it and store it in a bag. Avoid exposing it to the sun or any heat source so that it does not deteriorate.
- Replace the helmet if you have suffered a fall because at first sight it may not be damaged but it may have lost its protective properties.
- Comfort: a helmet must be comfortable, not cause friction and make you feel safe. If this is not the case, you probably do not have the right helmet.
- Safety: it must be solid, resistant and capable of receiving and repelling impacts. They are usually made of expanded polystyrene, which absorbs the energy of the impact and protects the head.
- Design: it can have a traditional look such as fabric coverings or, on the contrary, a more modern look with a combination of materials.
- Model: they can be either sized, which are those that are manufactured in a wide range of sizes and are the most comfortable or adjustable in which the following sizes appear:
- XS ? 44-48 cm of contour
- S ? 48-52 cm contour
- M ? 52-56 cm contour
