How to use the hull cleaner
The hoof cleaner is an essential element for the correct grooming of the horse. The correct way to use it is as follows
- We will try to remove the dirt working from the heel towards the blaze; taking special care not to penetrate the soft areas of the frog
- We will take special care of the cleanliness of the collateral grooves of the groove, since it is the favorite place for bacteria, stones and any sharp element
- At the time of cleaning the central groove, we will pay our maximum attention in the search of any sign of rottenness
- We will check that there are no cuts or cracks, as well as the degree of dryness of the hull
- If we detect a bad odor, there is a strong possibility of infection. If so, we will proceed to completely clean the helmet and apply hydrogen peroxide to the affected areas. This operation should be repeated at least once a day (and of course, consult the veterinarian or farrier)
- Para after cleaning, check that the horseshoe is perfectly positioned and run your fingers over the rivets to make sure that they are still in place
